Open Positions

 

Language Arts Teacher, Grades 6-8

 

Full-time

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Instructs assigned classes in all aspects of the language arts curriculum
  • Incorporates hands-on activities
  • Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media
  • Encourages students to submit projects for inclusion in the annual Academic Fair
  • Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning practices effectively utilizing District resources
  • Establishes and maintains standards for classroom behavior consistent with the physical limitations of the individual.
  • Able to work as a member of the 6-8th grade teaching team as well as collaboratively with other Language Arts teacher.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Illinois teaching certificate/license with a middle school language arts endorsement or its equivalent.
  • Hold an earned degree from an accredited college or university.

Special Education Teacher, Grades K-3 Full-time, 1.0 FTE

 

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Instructs assigned special education students in all aspects of the reading/language arts, math, science
    and social studies curriculum.
  • Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media.
  • Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning practices effectively utilizing District resources.
  • Establishes and maintains standards for classroom behavior consistent with the age/physical limitations of the students.
  • Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
  • Makes modifications and accommodations for students in order to meet the learning styles of a diverse student population and/or as dictated by a student IEPs.
  • Supervise instructional assistant and work collaboratively with general education staff.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid LBS 1 Illinois teaching certificate/license
  • Hold an earned degree from an accredited college or university.
